2. Aside from her multi-octave
range, zero talent
There's more to the music industry than being able
to open garage doors with your high-pitched wail. As stated above,
Mariah has zero talent in the field of songwriting, plus she really cannot
do anything with her voice rather than sing in a ludicrously girly tone
about how much she's in love with someone. Her voice has basically
no emotion at all. Having a six hundred octave (whatever) range doesn't
automatically mean everything that comes out of your mouth is going to
be good.
3. She can't hack being beaten
Mariah Carey bought herself six very expensive dresses
for the 1996 Grammy awards when she got six nominations for her Daydream
album. The idea was that for every award she would be wearing a new
dress. She didn't win any awards. She was absolutely furious and vowed
never to attend another Grammy ceremony again. Can you say: bad loser?
4. Her music is incredibly unoriginal,
and no different to a thousand other singers
Getting some hopeless rappers to give you some R&B
cred on your single? That endless drone going "Mariah.. you're on
fire.." really shits me. Gee, that's something new. As
is ballad after ballad and schlocky pop song after schlocky pop song.
5. Any musical involvement with Puff Daddy
is a bad thing
Mariah made the rather serious mistake of using Puff
Daddy on her album. Mariah, if you're reading this: Puff Daddy
is a producer, not a rapper. He can produce a song, but his rapping
sounds suspicioulsy like.. talking! And if you think slutting onto him
makes you R&B as opposed to teenybopper music, then you're obviously
assuming your fans are braindead which, with a few exceptions, may not

6. Bad role model for her fans
What's the message Mariah sends in her music? Is
it uplifting? Maybe, if you look at it one way. Is it interesting? Probably
not. What is it? If you're not in a relationship, you're not happy.
Having a significant other is everything. When Mariah sings about being
in a relationship, she's deliriously happy. When, such as in Without You,
her squeeze leaves, "I can't live.. I can't give anymore.".
This is not the sort of message she should be sending
out. I don't care if it's a cover version, it's still her fault for
choosing that song and defacing it like that. Why? Because young
girls see her as a successful role model.
So basically, Mariah fans, your idol
is saying to you "unless you're attached.. you're nothing.".
What a great role model she is.
There. That's why she sucks. And I
didn't even mention those quotes about the Ethiopian children, or getting
rid of Asians. Why? Because the Mariah publicity machine denies
it, and personally, I wouldn't trust anyone from Sony as far as I
could kick them. I still think she said it, realised how dumb it was,
and covered it up.
7. Sony shuts down Mariah hate pages
Sony hasn't got the concept of freedom of speech,
do they? This page is an opinion and a joke, and anyone with a problem
is an idiot. Insulting someone on the interent is harmless as the
people who get offended had a choice to look at the page or not. I
certainly didn't FORCE you to come here.
Plus, the fact that Mariah is so inadequate
that she needs protection from critics shows how much talent she really
has.
